Thurl B. "Buck" Buckmaster

Thurl B. "Buck" Buckmaster, age 87, passed away on April 24, 2008. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Mary; four children, Robert (Kay), Larry,Cheryl (Allan) Cole, and David; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and a sister, Esther. Buck was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps, serving during World War II, and was a longtime member of the American Legion. He retired after having over 40 years of service at Anaconda Wire and Cable. He enjoyed gardening, table tennis, golf, and basketball. Buck had a wonderful sense of humor and was always ready to share a joke. He was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 1110 Dykstra Rd., where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Bob Hart officiating. Visitation will be held at the Ever Rest Funeral Home and Chapel, 1783 E. Keating Ave., on Monday, 6-9p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in honor of his wife, Mary, to the Alzheimer's Association.
