Thompson, Florine Ileta

Mrs. Florine Ileta Thompson, age 89, of Muskegon, passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2006 at Brookhaven Medical Care Facility in Muskegon, Michigan. Florine Ileta (Smith) Thompson was born to the late Franklin B. and Myrtie Moore Smith in Kent City, Michigan on October 16, 1916 and would have celebrated her 90th birthday this coming Monday. She was united in marriage to Mr. Morton Reed Thompson on October 19, 1935 in Muskegon, Michigan. Florine was preceded in death by her husband, Morton, who passed away on September 4, 1987. She is survived by three sons: Morton F. Thompson of Arizona, Wayne L. (Melissa) Thompson of Muskegon, Karl (Shirley) Thompson of Muskegon; one daughter, Pam (Dan) Davis of Arizona; several grandchildren, great and great great grandchildren. Florine is also survived by her niece, Norma Jean (Smith) Chapman. Florine will be laid to rest next to Morton in a private burial at Laketon Township Cemetery.
