Mr. Thomas F. "Tom" Wall, age 81, passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at home after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Muskegon, Michigan on February 2, 1935 to Frank & Olga (Johnson) Wall and married the love of his life, Virginia Slocum on May 21, 1955 in Muskegon Michigan. Tom will be remembered for his love of conversation and strong work ethic. He retired from the Grand Haven Board of Light and Power after 29 years of service. He will also be remembered for his leadership in Fruitport Boy Scouts where he served as Cubmaster, as well as, his involvement in Fruitport Little League where he coached many baseball teams. Tom was formerly a member of Orchard View Congregational Church in Muskegon where he served as Elder. Currently, he was a member of Hope Reformed Church in Grand Haven where he served as Deacon and leader of the OWLS. Tom enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing, golfing, league bowling and square dancing where he was a member of the Melody Mates Square Dance Club in Shelby. But mostly, he enjoyed spending time with his family and watching his grandsons play competitive baseball and soccer over the years. SURVIVORS Tom will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Virginia, his four children: Alan (Lynne) Wall of Heath, TX, Cindy (Mike) Niblick of Zeeland, Douglas (Jill) Wall of Grand Haven and Raymond Wall of Muskegon; two grandchildren: Derek (Kimberly Rader) Niblick and Dustin (Ariel) Niblick; five great grandchildren: Kaleb, Hailey, Kasey, Annamae and Brantley; and one sister: Frances (Wall) Timmer; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents: Frank and Olga Wall; two sisters: Margaret (Wall) Aamodt and Alice (Wall) Gangwer; and several brothers and sisters in-law. SERVICE Saturday, November 5, 2016, 11:00 am with visitation one hour prior to the service at Hope Reformed Church, 14932 Mercury Drive, Grand Haven, Michigan, with the Rev. Tim Taylor officiating. Interment at Lakeshore Cemetery. MEMORIAL: Love INC or Harbor Hospice Foundation.
