Thomas Lee Torrey Sr. of Muskegon, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2024. Thomas was born March 1, 1937, the son of Arthur and Rose Torrey. He married Lois Torrey in the late 1950's and together they enjoyed 58 years of marriage until her death in 2016. He then married Phyllis Chastain on September 24, 2017. Thomas worked maintenance at HOWMET for most of his career. He served his country proudly in the US Army. He was a UAW and NRA member as well. Thomas enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, puzzles, and being with his family. He was an awesome, kind, strong-willed man who will be deeply missed.

SURVIVORS

Wife, Phyllis; sons, Tom (Denise), Ted (Dian), Terry (Linda), John (Mary), Raymond Chastain, and David Chastain; daughter, Char (Don) Pitre; 12 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, 16 great-great grandchildren; brothers, Bruce (Mary), sisters, Karen Pletcher, and Karen Torrey; his dogs, Patches and Coco; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by: his first wife, Lois; brother, Max; sister, Sally; and brother-in-law, Bob Pletcher.

SERVICE

Saturday 1:00 PM, March 23, 2024 at Clock Funeral Home 1469 Peck Street Muskegon. Visitation will be one hour prior to the start of the service.
