Thomas Alan Russell

Thomas Alan Russell was born in Muskegon, Michigan on September 8, 1944 died December 1, 2007 in Apache Junction, Arizona. Tom died unexpectedly of heart disease. His father predeceased him in 1980. He leaves his mother, Mildred Stoehr; 2 sisters: Carolyn Reece and her husband, Ronald; Joan Newkirk and her husband, Tracy; four nieces: Robin Croswell and her husband, Scott; Renee Walz and her husband, Tim; Laura Wiley and her husband, Jim; and Leah Dreger. Tom leaves 6 grand nephews and 3 grand nieces. He also has an uncle, Louis Kollar of Muskegon as well as many wonderful and devoted friends whom he has enjoyed over his lifetime. Tom grew up in Muskegon, Michigan. He graduated from Muskegon High School and then from Michigan State University in Business Administration. He served in the Navy for two years and spent time serving his country in Vietnam . He moved to California and worked in real estate. His last home was in Arizona. He retired from the North Mesa Justice Court early last year. Funeral arrangements were at the Sonoran Skies Mortuary, Mesa, Arizona. Funeral services will be at the Oakwood Cemetery Chapel, 1400 Kenneth Street, Muskegon, Michigan at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 15, 2007.
