Thomas Joseph Reubens, age 70, passed away Sunday morning, November 24, 2024, at the Fred and Lena Meijer Heart Center, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Tom was born in Muskegon, Michigan, to Andrew and Doris (Rood) Reubens, on April 21, 1954. He attended Mona Shores High School.
Tom had many interests including travel, gardening, mycology, motorcycles, lapidary arts, designing and fashioning sterling silver and turquoise jewelry, of which he was a master craftsman, and a voracious reader, devouring hundreds of books each year. His love for travel led him to many places including much of the United States, Mexico, Jamaica, and extensive travel in Southeast Asia. He has lived in Texas, Arizona, and the last several years he spent six months of each in Thailand.
He was a member of Muskegon Recreation Club, of which he was a past board member, a founding member of MMG, and former volunteer at Pediatric Services, Ltd., Negril, Jamaica.
SURVIVORS: sister Marilyn (Michael) Petrowski; brothers: Marvin and Louis Reubens. Nieces: Corrine (Eric) Cockream and Dee Dee Reubens, and nephews: Brandon (Jennifer) Petrowski and Jason (Angela) Reubens. His brother from another mother: Jim Wellise and his special friend: Naritsara Phimsin of Chatturat, Thailand.
Tom was preceded in death by his sister: Virginia Ann; brothers, Richard and David.
