Thomas W. Phillip, Sr.

Thomas W. Phillips, Sr. age 61, passed away on June 7, 2008 at the Poppen Hospice Residence. He was born on July 7, 1946 to the late Bernard and Neva (Crofoot) Phillips in Muskegon. Tom married the former Linda L. Atkinson June 3, 1978, and she preceded him in death on May 19, 2004. Tom is survived by three children, Roxanne M. Darke, Joanne L. (Roberto Pineda) Andres, and Thomas W. (Shawn) Phillips, Jr.; five grandchildren; 4 brothers-in-law, 3 sisters-in-law; several nieces and nephews, and cousins; two special friends, Melba and Rick of Tenn., along with his first wife and friend, Sandra Parnell, of Muskegon. Along with his parents Tom was preceded in death by a brother Wayne Phillips, sister-in-law, Sandra Atkinson, and son-in-law, Bill Darke, and a nephew and 2 nieces. Tom served in the US Army, and has worked for Meijer in Norton Shores since 2004. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2008 at 12:00 noon at Crosswinds Church, 1910 Ruddiman Drive, in North Muskegon. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family to cover funeral expenses.
