They returned to Muskegon where Tom joined the family business, now Olson's Appliances. Over the many years at Olson's Appliance store, he earned the respect and loyalty of the hundreds of families who have done business with him. Tom was a lifelong member of Central United Methodist Church. He served as an usher there for many years until he couldn't make it up the aisle anymore. He loved classical music and attended as many classical concerts as he could, enjoying our local Symphony. He was an expert in geography and history.
