HARTMAN, MR. TOM Muskegon, MI Thomas Hartman, born Thomas Hartman on November 8, 1922, beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, son-in-law, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, nephew, cousin & friend to so many, died peacefully in his sleep Sunday morning, April 28, 2002 at the age of 79. Born in Muskegon, MI, Tom was the son of Flora & Harry Hartman. He was a graduate of Muskegon Public High School & Muskegon Business College. On November 6, 1943, he & Mary Ellen Kersch were married. He served three years in the United States Infantry. He retired from Teledyne Continental in 1983 after 42 years of dedicated service. Tom was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church for many years. SURVIVORS He is survived by his wife of 58 1/2 years, Mary Hartman; two daughters, Mary Charles Young of Tampa, FL & Megan David Purdy of Kalamazoo, MI; one son, Tom Sue Hartman of Aurora, IL; one sister, Catherine Hartman of Muskegon; eleven grandchildren; three nephews; five very special friends, Phil & Pauline Young, Barney, Aletha & Bette Johnson. Tom was preceded in death by both parents; one brother, Charles & by one sister, Margaret. SERVICE Memorial Services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Muskegon on Tuesday, April 30, 2002, 11:00 AM with Rev. Dennis Lassanske officiating. Following the service, a luncheon will be served in the church parlor. Interment at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. VISITATION Visitation will be at Clock Funeral Home from 6-9 PM on Monday evening.
