Thomas Anthony Dunham, age 67, passed away Saturday, November 8, 2008 surrounded by his loving family and friends. Tom was born in Muskegon on April 15, 1941 and lived all of his life in the Muskegon area. In 1976, he married the former Joyce Brezinski. Tom served on the Muskegon County Sheriff Department for 30 years and kindly touched many lives during his years of service. He retired from the Sheriff Department in 2001 to spend more time with his loving wife, Joyce and his family. Tom was known for his quick wit and great sense of humor and he will be sadly missed by his beloved family and many friends. His grandchildren said he was "The Greatest Grandpa Ever." Tom is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Joyce, his four sons, Tom (Karen), Jeff (Nancy), Todd (Melanie) and Craig (Sharon) Fazakerly; one daughter, Amy (Scott) Werschem; four brothers, John (Mary Helen), Robert (Ginger), Bill (Sharon), Tim; one sister, Dolly (Chuck) Long; sisters-in-law, Judy (Larry) French, Elsa Beale, Kathy (Bob) Brown; ten grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and wonderful friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Eleanor Franklin; a brother Floyd; a sister-in-law, Donna; brothers-in-law, Donald Brezinski and Thomas Beale. According to his wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration service will be held on Thursday, November 13th, 1pm at Fellowship Reformed Church located at 4200 E. Apple Ave. Memorial contributions in his honor may be made to Harbor Hospice, 2065 E. Mt. Garfield Rd., Muskegon, MI 49444 or Parkinson Association of West Michigan, 260 Jefferson S.E. Grand Rapids, MI 49503.
