Thomas Jay Carter

Carter, Mr. Thomas Jay Fruitport Mr. Thomas Jay Carter, age 68, passed away Sunday, October 10, 2021. He was born in Grand Rapids, MI on November 30, 1952 to Donald & Virginia (McDonald) Carter and served his country in the US Army. He married the former Cherie Simons on August 29, 1992. Mr. Carter worked in computers and as a truck driver. Thomas was a long standing member of AA and was always helping others. He enjoyed football including the Detroit Lions and the University of Michigan, video games & his grandchildren. SURVIVORS Wife, Cherie Carter; son, Chad (Stacy) Carter; mother, Virginia (Gordon) McGuire; 9 grandchildren; siblings, Dori (Josh) Rood, Don (Laurie) Carter; many nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.
