Theodore Arthur Elwell

Elwell, Mr. Theodore Arthur Muskegon, Michigan Mr. Theodore (Ted) Arthur Elwell, age 97, passed away peacefully Friday, December 23, 2022. He was born in Elkhart, IN on May 10, 1925, adopted and raised by Caleb & Mary (Tanswell) Elwell and served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He married the former Doris Leona Schramm on January 6, 1951. Mr. Elwell had been employed as a dispatcher for Mich Con for over 38 years, retiring in 1990. Theodore was a member of Central United Methodist Church, the American Legion, and very active with the Elks, PER and chairing their Memorial Service for 50 years. He was most proud of their house which he designed and built, and loved old cars and reading the Bible daily to his wife , they would have celebrated their 72nd anniversary on Jan 6, 2023. SURVIVORS Wife, Doris Elwell; 2 daughters, Patricia (Terry) Dornbos & Barbara (Rick Zuber) Sliwinski; 4 grandchildren, Jill (Douglas) Roik, Jay Dornbos, Leah Sliwinski & Alaina Sliwinski; 3 great grandchildren ; twins Anthony and Allison Roik and Austin Roik. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Russell (Rachael) Elwell, half brothers Russell (Barbara) Reckell, Harry Rosenberg & Alex Rosenberg.
