Morrell, Mrs. Thelma Jean Muskegon Mrs. Thelma "TJ" Jean Morrell, age 89, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2020, quietly at home. She was born on October 23, 1930 to Enoch and Olive Ellison in Detroit, Michigan. On November 27, 1948, she married DeLore Morrell who preceded her in death on February 1, 1995. "TJ" loved making rugs, quilting, sewing, clogging, going to the beach, playing the piano & staying very active. Mrs. Morrell worked for 15 years at Child Haven until retiring. She was actively involved at First Baptist Church in Muskegon, Michigan. SURVIVORS Children, John (Nancy) Morrell, Jane (Pat) Breen, Joan (Tom) Houchins, DeLore (Sally) Morrell; 12 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; sister, Shirley Morton; in-laws, Theodore Morrell, Glen Curtis, Bob & Judy Steele; sister-in-law Barbara (Gordon) Bonifield; many other relatives & close friends, including, Shirley McCarthy. She is preceded in death by her husband, DeLore; 13 siblings including 8 brothers & 5 sisters. SERVICE A private family service will be held due to COVID-19 restrictions.
