Thelma May Bayne, 89, of Twin Lakes, Michigan, passed away on December 16, 2023. Thelma was born on July 2, 1934, in Muskegon, Mi, to Fermin and Florence (Peterson) Laubach. She was a loving and incredibly giving person who lived her life for her faith and children.
Thelma is survived by her sisters: Doris Fauble, Mary Barnhardt (Larry). Children: David (Mona), Robert (Holly), Kenneth (Tammy), Melynda Reed (Jeff), Monica Griffin (Terry), and Gary. She was also blessed with 15 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Thelma was preceded in death by her parents, Fermin and Florence Laubach, her brothers Gerald and Carl Laubach, and her son Kelly Bayne.
Thelma attended North Muskegon High School and later pursued her passion for cosmetology at Dotson's Hair Academy. She had a successful career as a manager at Dotson's Hair, and then went on to work at Hillcrest Nursing Home. She retired from Pliant Plastics and then went on to work odd inserting jobs for Graphics House.
Thelma was raised in the Baptist Church. Later in life, she was a regular attender at Central Assembly of God. She found solace and strength in her faith. throughout her life.
In her free time Thelma enjoyed various hobbies including; crocheting, knitting, camping, canoeing, watching NASCAR, and traveling. She particularly cherished road trips that allowed her to visit her children around the world and across the country.
Thelma May Bayne will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she has touched. Her selfless nature and loving spirit will forever be remembered.
