Thaddeus "Ted" Stanislaw Kmiecik

Mr. Thaddeus "Ted" Stanislaw Kmiecik, age 91, died peacefully Saturday, July 26, 2008 at his home. He was born on January 22, 1917 in Muskegon, MI to Vincent and Anna Kmiecik. Ted was a 1940 graduate of The University of Notre Dame and had played football for the Fighting Irish. He owned Ted's Night Club in Muskegon, the Wings Bar and Restaurant in Tampa, FL, and retired from the water filtration plant as manager in Moorehaven, FL. He married Evelyn Grumm and later married Julie (Szymanski) Beauregard. Ted enjoyed golfing, fishing and loved just relaxing with his boys at the cabin. Survivors are his wife, Julie; his children, Michael (Carolyn) Kmiecik of Bothell, WA, Timothy (Sue) Kmiecik of Fruitport, MI, Judy (Gene) Stickney and Jeffery (Patty) Kmiecik both of Muskegon, MI, Marie (Robert) Jourden of Whitmore Lake, MI, Cathy Adamczyk of Brooksville, FL, Camilla (Ron) Moon of Muskegon, MI, Robert (Loretta) Beauregard of Twin Lake, MI, Susie (Joe) Stralko of Tampa, FL, Gail Louise Fors, of Fruitport, MI, Judith Ann McGrane and Rebecca Ann Sieradzki both of Muskegon, MI, and daughter-in-law, Debbie Beauregard of Twin Lake, MI; his 23 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Ted was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Wanda Kmiecik, son, Mike Beauregard and grandson, Vincent Kmiecik. A Celebration of Ted's Life will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Pulaski Lodge. Burial will be made in St. Mary's Cemetery. Memorial Contributions to the Muskegon Lions Club.
