Teresa Elaine "Tish" Fortine

Mrs. Teresa Elaine "Tish" Fortine, age 35, very beloved wife, mother, daughter, wonderful friend and special nurse, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2008 at The Poppen Residence of Harbor Hospice. She was born April 28, 1973 in Peoria, IL to Joe A. and Linda C. (Cowles) Wood and lived in the Muskegon area the past 18 years. Teresa was a graduate of Muskegon Community College where she earned her associated degree. She worked at Hackley Hospital, a very compassionate and loving nurse. She always had a beautiful smile and a passion for life. Her strength showed in such a manner it was hard to miss. Although her battle with cancer was short, she fought hard and with such grace still always thinking of her family and friends. Now in God's loving care, surrounded by loved family members who have preceded her in death, Teresa will be greatly missed but always remain in the hearts of her family, friends, and lives of others she has touched. Teresa leaves behind the families here in Michigan, Kansas, Texas, New Mexico, Alabama, and throughout the U.S.A. many special aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and great friends. She is SURVIVED by her husband, Paul L. Fortine, Jr.; 1 son, Paul L. Fortine III of Muskegon; 1 daughter, Felicia C. Fortine of Muskegon; her father, Joe A. (Suzanne) Wood of Round Rock, TX; her mother, Linda C. (Paul Sr.) Fortine of Baldwin; her sister, Amy D. (Richard) Fralick of Ruidoso, NM; 2 brothers, Larry A. (Miranda) Wood of Baldwin and Chad R. (Leslie) Wood of Frisco, TX.
