Tanner, Harry Jr.

Harry Tanner Jr., age 78, passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2006 under the loving care of his family. Harry is survived by his wife of 26 years, Betty; twelve children, Richard (Doris) Tanner, Michael Tanner, Richard (Lydia) Stevens, Randy (Michelle) Stevens, Susan (Ken) Cribley, Vicki (Mike) Arbogast, Rose (John) Smith, Penny (Mike) Montgomery, Cindy (Dave) Plunkett, Diane Tanner, Annette (Randy) Cribley, and Tina Neuman; 56 grandchildren, and 43 great-grandchildren. Harry retired from Sealed Power and was a longtime member of Local 637. He was an avid bowler, golfer, and outdoorsman, and was a past member of the West Michigan Tour Riders. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to his many special friends that were there giving love and support to his family. According to his wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will he held on Wednesday, October 25, 2006 beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the American Legion on Colby Road, in Whitehall. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to Visiting Nurse Service and Hospice.
