Steven William Gomery

GOMERY, MR. STEVEN W. Grand Rapids Formerly of Muskegon Mr. Steven W. Gomery, age 87, died Wednesday, November 16, 2005. He was born in Fruitport, MI on July 24, 1918 to Steven & Elizabeth Moko Gomery & married the former Eleanor Sand on May 5, 1945. Mr. Gomery served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII & had been employed as a Machinist at C.W.C. for 42 years until retiring in 1979. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, American Legion, the Knights of Columbus & a former member of the Muskegon Moose Lodge. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening. SURVIVORS Wife of 60 years, Eleanor; son, Glenn Cindy Gomery of Rockford, MI; 2 grandchildren, Meagan and Steven; brother, Paul Nancy Gomery of Fruitport, MI; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Margaret Albertson & Leona Baronowski. SERVICE Monday, November 21, 2005, 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. Michael Shea officiating. Interment at St. Mary's Cemetery. VISITATION Monday, one hour prior to the service at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. MEMORIAL: Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
