Commissioner Stephen R. Wisniewski, age 56, died March 5, 2007. Born August 6, 1950, in Muskegon to Joseph and Janice (Rodgers) Wisniewski, he had lived in the White Lake area all his life. On November 7, 1981, in Montague, he married the former Judy M. Thompson and had owned and operated Home TV-Tronics of Whitehall for many years. Mr. Wisniewski was recently re-elected and currently serving on the Muskegon County Board of Commissioners. He had been a member of the White Lake Area Chamber of Commerce for over 25 years, serving six years on the Board of Directors, including one year as Chairman and two years as Vice-Chairman, was a member of White Lake Area Chapter of Toastmasters, a member of the Whitehall-Montague Rotary Club, a former member of the White Lake Senior Center Board of Directors and was a member of the White Lake Area Jaycees for over ten years, serving in various offices for 5 of those years. He served in U.S. National Guard for 13 years, a member of the 1436th Engineering Co. in Montague. FAMILY: His wife, Judy; 1 daughter, Amy (Bill) Trenkle of Cranston, RI; 2 sons, Lucas Wisniewski of Scottsdale, AZ and Nathan Wisniewski of Muskegon; 1 granddaughter, Caitlin Trenkle; his mother, Janice Wisniewski of Montague; 1 sister, Suzanne (Fred) Vargas of Montague, 4 brothers, Andy (Cindy) Wisniewski of Montague, Matt (Marsha) Wisniewski of Menominee, Jerome (Lisa) Wisniewski of Whitehall and Pat Wisniewski of Montague; special friends, Cole & Buck. MEMORIAL SERVICE: Sunday, March 11, 2007, at 2:00 PM, at Montague United Methodist Church with Mr. James K. Tanis officiating. A Military Salute will be afforded by Algot Johnson American Legion Post #69 of Whitehall, at the church on Sunday. VISITING HOURS: Saturday 4-7 PM at the Clock Funeral Home in Whitehall.
