Stephen Hubert Bolduc

Stephen Hubert Bolduc, age 70, of Muskegon, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, August 2, 2026.

Born on March 3, 1956, in Muskegon to Lawrence and Catherine (Smith) Bolduc, Steve was a lifelong resident, attended St. Joseph Catholic Church and School. He graduated from Muskegon Catholic Central High School in 1974 and earned an associate's degree in Industrial Engineering from Muskegon Community College. On September 7, 1993, he married the love of his life, Irene Cope, after a chance meeting at a local singles dance at Whitlow's.

Steve worked for numerous businesses over the years including Smith Packing Co., OTT Chemical, CMI Noren, S.D. Warren/SAPPI paper mill until its closure and later retired from Herman Miller after 15 years, assembling office furniture components.

A man of many passions, he was a talented musician who loved playing harmonica and guitar, often sitting in with local bands including "Out of Control", Loaded Chops and Barstool Profits. He enjoyed fishing, bird watching, and hunting for treasures at yard sales and consignment shops. Steve was also a member of the Muskegon Eagles.

Above all, Steve was a devoted family man. He was a loving stepfather to Jodi Dyer, a proud "Grandpa Steve" to his grandchildren, Raquel Stratton and Aaron Huss, and a doting great-grandfather to Carter Joel and Lucia Grace Stratton. He cherished every moment with his family, who are grateful that he did not suffer long and was surrounded by love.

Steve is survived by his loving wife of nearly 33 years, Irene; his daughter, Jodi; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his siblings, Jan Havey, Lawrence (Cindy) Bolduc, Susan (Eric) Nygren, and Jeff (Cindy) Bolduc and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Tony Bolduc; his sister, Kathy Kufahl; and his nephew, Markie Bolema.

A Celebration of Life will be announced once details are finalized to accommodate Steve's many friends and out-of-town relatives. In lieu of flowers, the family invites friends to share memories and consider contributions to hospice or a charity of choice.
