Ms. Stephanie M. Mozola, age 69, passed peacefully Sunday, June 26, 2011. She was born in Troy, MI on August 9, 1941 to Stephan and Mary (Maset) Mozola. Stephanie was a life long educator who received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Education and her Masters Degree in Counseling from Eastern Michigan University. She taught at Willow Run High School for 3 years, was a counselor at Fruitport Middle School for 3 years and completed her career at Wyoming Public Schools as a counselor first at Rogers High School and then Wyoming Park over a 23 year span. In these roles she positively impacted the lives of many students. While her health allowed she was an avid rock hunter and collector, bowler, played slow-pitch softball for one of the most winning recreational teams in Grand Haven, loved to travel and camp and spent many hours fishing. In her later years she enjoyed reading, going to the casino with Joanne and her friends & family and she was often luckier than the casino. She also spent hundreds of hours in her many flower beds and garden. Those who were close to her knew her to be one of the most honest, moral, accepting, loving and giving people in their lives. SURVIVORS She is survived by her cousin and life-long companion, Joanne A. Marcetti; sister, Delores (Douglas) Brown, 10 nieces & nephews, 21 great nieces & nephews; 5 great great nieces & nephews; and a circle of very special friends including, Sharon Miller, Eileen Schullo, Donna Blackall & Sheila Murdoch. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Dorothy Scarborough. SERVICE A private family service will be held.
