Star Diane Bowman Wierengo, age 48, of Muskegon, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 14, 2026.

Born in Muskegon on April 3, 1978, to Randal and Sandra Bowman, Star was a lifelong resident of the area and a 1996 graduate of Muskegon Catholic Central. In her younger days she attended St. Mary's Catholic Church. Star dedicated her career to serving others, most recently as the assistant manager at the Burger King on Henry Street, and previously as a dispatcher for Ramos Towing.

Star had a vibrant spirit and found joy in simple pleasures. She loved singing karaoke, hunting for treasures at thrift stores and yard sales, and cooking for her loved ones.

Her teen years she was a student. Then a teacher at gonyons dance studio. And she loved her animals.

Above all, she had a deep passion for helping people and will be remembered for her kind and caring heart. She faced challenges in life, including a past struggle with addiction, and her family takes comfort in her recovery and the compassion she showed to others.

She is survived by her parents, Randal and Sandra (Schwemer) Bowman; her fiancé, Adam Colbath; her children, Aris Bowman, Jared W, and Danielle (Brentten) Udell; her treasured grandchildren, Clayton and Olivia; and her sister, Sara Vandenbosch. And her nephew Ryley. Great-nephew Jaxson. And nieces Madelyn and Corinne. And her best friend Jennifer.
