Stanley W. Stone

STONE, MR. STANLEY W. North Muskegon Mr. Stanley W. Stone, age 93, died Tuesday, August 2, 2005. He was born in Calgary, Alberta Canada on July 23, 1912 to Warren & Belle Bailey Stone & married the former Muriel Shambaugh on August 26, 1939. Mr. Stone served in the U.S. Coast Guard during WWII. He had been employed as a Service Technician at G.A.F. Corp for 25 years prior to retiring in 1977 & also repaired pipe organs for many years. He was a member of Community United Methodist Church, involved in marriage encounter & DeColores. Mr. Stone enjoyed his work with the Muskegon Theater Organ Club. He was a former Policeman, Fireman & Sea Scout Leader for North Muskegon. SURVIVORS 1 son, Thomas Janet Stone of Perry, MI; 1 daughter, Margaret "Maggie" Rodney Vanderstelt of Montague; 2 grandchildren, Kenneth Yvette Vanderstelt of WA & Daniel Cherry Vanderstelt of Muskegon; 8 great grandchildren, Nicole, Ashley, Kenneth, Sydnie, Lydia, Stephanie, Dakota & Jamie & 3 nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Muriel in 1990. SERVICE Friday, August 5, 2005, 11:00 AM at Community United Methodist Church with Dr. Glenn Wagner officiating. Interment at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. VISITATION Thursday, 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Clock Funeral Home. MEMORIAL: Community United Methodist Church or Muskegon Theater Organ Club. Clock - Muskegon
