Shirley Mole

Mrs. Shirley I. Mole, age 99, passed away Sunday, November 25, 2012 in Jackson. She was born in Manistee, MI on June 17, 1913 to Rasmus & Minnie (Hansen) Jorgensen and married Frederick Mole on June 29, 1947. Mrs. Mole had been an Elementary Teacher at Muskegon & Muskegon Hts Public Schools for 23 years until retiring in 1978. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church, Danish Sisterhood, Muskegon Chapter of the MARSP and AAUW. Shirley enjoyed reading and studying Spanish. She also loved to walk, swim and travel. SURVIVORS Daughters, Marilyn (Thomas) Diffendal of Detroit, Barbara Jean Thompson of Jackson, Bonni (William) Slifer of Nashville TN; granddaughters, Elizabeth, Jennifer, Gwendolyn and Amber; 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred; daughter, Sharlene Taylor & brother, Quentin Jorgensen. SERVICE Thursday, November 29, 2012, 2:00 PM and visitation 1 hour prior to the service at the Clock Chapel - Muskegon with Pastor Diane Gordon officiating. Interment at Lakeside Cemetery. MEMORIAL: Central United Methodist Church.
