Shirley K. Champion

Mrs. Shirley K. Champion, age 65, passed away at home Tuesday, October 28, 2008. She was born on April 15, 1943 to Richard and Marian (Porter) Arnson in Muskegon. On June 13, 1964 she married Carl Champion in Muskegon. Shirley was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she had been active with the choir, Sunday school and Dorcas Circle. She had previously been employed at J.C. Penny's and K-Mart and was working for Herman Miller prior to her illness. SURVIVORS include husband, Carl; 2 children, Lisa Champion of Holland and Eric (Yolanda) Champion of Muskegon; 3 grandchildren, Tony, Maria and Tara; 1 brother, Melvin (Fran) Arnson; 3 nephews, Dereck, Brian and Brent and a large extended family. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be 11 AM Saturday, November 1, 2008 at Trinity Lutheran Church (3225 Roosevelt Rd.) with Pastor Dennis Lassanske officiating. VISITATION will be 1 hour prior to the service at church. In lieu of flowers, please consider Trinity Lutheran Church Choir or Harbor Hospice.
