Serenity Meinders

Miss Serenity Geraldine Meinders, age 5, died Wednesday, August 1, 2007, with her cousin, Courtney Dean Oudsema, while they were playing outside. Serenity was born September 22, 2001 in Muskegon to William W. Parker and Laurie A. Stephens. Serenity is survived by her parents; 6 brothers and sisters, Dominique Parker, Shani Parker, Janae' Coon, Alexander Parker, Makayla Parker, and Kadin Meinders-Morris; paternal grandparents, CasSandra Parker and William L. and Bonita Parker; maternal grandparents, Theresa and David Larabee, Dave Riley, and Neil and Pat Eklund; maternal great-grandfather, LeRoy Meinders; aunts and uncles, Chillum and Kristina Oudsema, Marene and Alejandro Cisneros, Ryan Riley, Tonya and David Smith, Dean Borrow, Noel Eklund, and Joel Eklund; great-uncle, Brian Meinders; and cousin, Hope Cisneros. Serenity was preceded in death by her great-grandmother, Merle Meinders; her aunt, Melissa Smith; her great-aunt, Geraldine Parker; and her cousins, Courtney Dean Oudsema, Alejandrina Cisneros, and Danny Meinders. A FUNERAL SERVICE for Serenity and Courtney will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at Fellowship Reformed Church with Rev. Greg VanderMeer officiating. INTERMENT will follow at Egelston Township Cemetery. VISITATION will be held one hour prior to the service, 12-1PM, Tuesday, at the church. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be directed to the family.
