Scott Frank Moran

Scott Frank Moran, 55, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, passed away at his home on July 20, 2026. Born in Muskegon on February 16, 1971, Scott graduated from Muskegon High School, where he participated in theater, and went on to lead a life defined by hard work, resilience, and a vibrant spirit.

For the past several years, Scott was an over-the-road truck driver, most recently with Jenny Transportation. He took pride in the miles he traveled, with his beloved dog, Siren, always by his side. Before trucking, Scott worked as an office manager in Chicago and pursued entrepreneurial ventures, including a street-side barbecue stand where he perfected his own recipe. In his youth, he loved roller speed skating and embraced a bold style, always ready for new adventures.

Scott was outgoing, outspoken, and deeply cherished by his family and many friends, especially his close friend, George Stocker. He will be remembered for his humor, generosity, and the deep bond he shared with his dog.

He is survived by his father, Frank Moran; his stepmother, Judith Moran; his sisters, Julie (Brian) Fritz and Stacey Moran; step-sister, Pam Nelson; step-brother, Ryan (Mary) Coffey; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jacqueline "Jackie" Fellows Vanderzel, in 2014 and his grandparents Lyle A. Moran, Sr. and Julia Moran, Richard and Dolly Fellows.

His faithful companion, Siren, will be cared for by his sister, Julie.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Clock Funeral Home, where family and friends may gather to share stories and memories. Light refreshments will be provided.
