Mr. Schilleman, age 74, died December 8, 2006. Born December 31, 1931, in Holland, to Gale and Marie (Westrate) Schilleman, he had lived in the White Lake area most of his life. On May 12, 1956, in Whitehall, he married the former Loretta "Letty" Westbrook. He taught math and industrial casting for 24 years at Muskegon High School. He loved the land and was a part-time farmer. Mr. Schilleman was a member of the White Lake Congregational UCC, White Lake Eagles Aerie #3214, and served in the U.S. Army as a Paratrooper Instructor during the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jay Schilleman and a brother-in-law, Lt. Col. Russell Potter. FAMILY: His wife, Loretta "Letty"; 1 daughter, Leesa (Kevin) Piszczek of Whitehall; 2 grandchildren, Cameron Piszczek and Trisha Piszczek both of Whitehall; a sister, Phyllis Potter of Whitehall; a brother, Roger (Sherry) Schilleman of Montague. SERVICE: Wednesday, December 13, 2006, at 11:00 AM, from White Lake Congregational UCC with the Rev. Keith N. Koebel and the Rev. Pam L. Koebel officiating, Mr. James K. Tanis, Eulogist.
