Saramae C. Hughes HUGHES, MRS. SARAMAE C. Wife of Wayne N. Muskegon Mrs. Saramae Carol Hughes, age 75, passed away Tuesday evening, January 3, 2006 at her home. She was born July 17, 1930 to Swan and Freda (Lundgren) Larson in Muskegon, and was a life resident. Saramae was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church, and for many years worked as a medical receptionist. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, her children and grandchildren. On November 16, 1974 she married Wayne Hughes, and he survives her along with 7 children, Michael (Kathy) Balkema, Janice (Jim) Higginson, Martin (Diane) Balkema, Mary Ann (Art) Caswell, Marshall (Sheryl) Balkema, Michael Hughes, Daniel (Debbie) Hughes; 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Virginia Hughes. She was preceded in death by a brother, Rex Larson; sister, Florence VanHall; brother-in-law, Harold Hughes. SERVICES will be 3:30 PM Saturday at Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Ave. (231) 726-5210 with Rev. William Uetricht officiating. VISITATION will be from 3-5 & 7-9 PM Friday.
