Sarah "Sally" Freeman was born in Ironton, Ohio, on March 18, 1936, to Clarence and Fannie (McClellan) Hamilton. She moved to Muskegon, Michigan as a child. Sally met Arthur L. Freeman and the two were married on August 8, 1953. They shared 51 years of marriage before Arthur's passing in 2004.


Sally worked for many years as a real estate agent and broker, a career she enjoyed deeply. She was known for her warm affection toward her friends and customers and took great pride in her work. She especially enjoyed volunteering with Sunday School and helping in various roles at church. She attended St. Mark's for many years as well as Forest Park Covenant Church and Central Assembly of God.


Sally and Arthur were blessed with four children. She is survived by her children: Sharon (David) Swierpel of Wolverine Lake, MI; Trever Freeman; Stacey Freeman and Michael Freeman. Her grandchildren are Angela K. (Max) Auger, Paul (Ashley) Swierpel, Austin (Addie) Krautheim, Annie Krautheim (Jacob Wall), Christopher Freeman and Emma Kimberlyn Freeman. She had several great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.


She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Jerry Hamilton and Don Hamilton.


Sally treasured the friendships she formed over the years. In her own words:

"Thank you for your friendship. I treasured you all. I pray that I see you all again. God bless you."


SERVICES

A private graveside service will take place at Norton Cemetery next to her husband.
