Sally Laird

Mrs. Sally M. Laird, age 83 of Muskegon, MI passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at Harbor Hospice Poppen House after a brief illness. Sally was a school teacher in Fruitport Schools and Laketon Elementary in the Reeths Puffer School District. An avid bridge player, she was a member of several clubs. As an alumni of Michigan State University, she enjoyed watching MSU basketball and football and the Detroit Tigers. Sally was a Past Worthy Matron of the Genesis Chapter and Grand Haven Order of the Eastern Star. The family would like to extend the most heartfelt thanks for the doctors and staff who attended to her care during her illness. SURVIVORS She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack C. Laird. She is survived by her brother, William Starr of Muskegon, MI; daughter, Kathleen Laird of Brooklyn, MI; sons, Thomas (Karen) Laird of Fennville, MI, James Laird of Grand Rapids, MI and Richard (Bevan) Laird of Kewaunee, WI; and three grandchildren. FUNERAL MASS Saturday, October 18, 2014, 11:00 AM at St. Paul's Episcopal Church Muskegon with Father William Fleener officiating. VISITATION Friday, 4-8 PM at Clock Funeral Home - Muskegon and Saturday, one hour prior to the service at the church.
