Ruth Westhoff

Mrs. Ruth V. Westhoff, age 90, died Friday, August 31, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Grand Haven, MI on July 8, 1922 to Fred & Anna (Valom) Kraeger & married William Peter Westhoff on August 28, 1945. Mrs. Westhoff had been employed at Sears Catalog Store for 20 years & then went to work at the YMCA for 14 years. She was a charter member of Ferrysburg Community Church & the Ladies Bible Study. Mrs. Westhoff enjoyed knitting, cross word puzzles, walking and her grandchildren. SURVIVORS 2 sons, Rick (Kathy) Westhoff of FL & Robert (Linda) Westhoff of Grand Haven; 4 grandchildren; Jennifer (Chris) Ashbaugh, Jeffrey Westhoff, Adam (Hillary) Hilliard & Jeff (Trish) Hilliard.; 4 great grandchildren; Hunter VanderWege, Alexia Bouwhuis, Lila & Ellen Hilliard; several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, William Peter on June 30, 1998, brother, Homer Kraeger, sister, Marilyn Dickerson, sister-in-law, Fanny VanderWall, brothers-in-law, Jack Dickerson & Les VanderWall. SERVICE Friday, September 7, 2012, 1:00 PM at Ferrysburg Community Church with Rev. Al Hoksbergen officiating. VISITATION Friday, one hour prior to the service at Ferrysburg Community Church. MEMORIAL: Grand Haven Christian School or Ferrysburg Community Church.
