Ruth Lulofs Toxopeus

Mrs. Ruth A. Toxopeus, age 92, died Friday, January 10, 2014. She was born in Muskegon, MI on December 8, 1921 to Herman & Sadie (Stahl) Lulofs. Her husband, Fred M. Toxopeus died March 18, 1976, several years after their move to Bear Lake (Manistee County). Ruth moved to Spring Lake Township in 1987 then back to Muskegon in December 2006. Most recently she has been living at the Grand Pines Assisted Living in Grand Haven. Ruth's family wishes to thank the entire staff and hospice for their care during Ruth's stay. SURVIVORS Brother, Marvin (Helen) Lulofs of Newport News VA; brother-in-law, Floyd VanderJagt of Lake Havasu City AZ; stepchildren, Carolyn (Peter) Sturrus of Grand Haven, Judy Kleeves of Milford MI, Fred (Harriet) Toxopeus of Kalamazoo; step daughter-in-law, Marjorie Toxopeus of Winchester VA; long time friend Lucille Fricke of North Muskegon; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by Mildred (William) Sullivan, Evelyn Lulofs, Jean (Earl) Schaefer, Phyllis VanderJagt, John Kleeves and Alan Toxopeus.
