Ruth Smith

Mrs. Ruth J. Smith, age 89, passed away Thursday, October 23, 2014. She was born in Muskegon, MI on May 30, 1925 to Roscoe & Alice (Brough) Williams and married Dale Edson Smith on October 21, 1944. Mrs. Smith had been employed as a Secretary at Calvary Baptist Church and managed Parkwood Apts. until retiring in 1991. She was a member of Calvary Church. SURVIVORS Sons, Dr. Barry (Brenda) Smith of PA, Randall (Lorane) Smith of Muskegon; daughters, Cheryl Smith of Grand Haven, Janet (Duane) Guss of Muskegon; 4 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Cramer of WI, Nora Lawson; nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; brothers, Robert & Ronald Williams; sister, Doris Hansen and grandson, Edward Smith. SERVICE Sunday, October 26, 2014, 2:00 PM with visitation starting at 1:30 PM at the Clock Chapel - Muskegon with Rev. Dr. William J. Rudd officiating. MEMORIAL: Harbor Hospice Poppen House.
