Ruth E. (Morrison) Schrader entered into the mansion prepared for her by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on January 23, 2010 at DeBoer Nursing Home (following the 21 years spent at the Hermitage). She was born on November 24, 1920 in Muskegon Heights, MI to F. Victor & Jennie (Horness) Nordstrom. She married Clifford E. Morrison on May 1, 1942 in Muskegon Heights, who preceded her in death on May 14, 1976. In February 1990, she married Alfred Schrader who preceded he in death on October 15, 1994. She worked at Nordstrom Dairy, Maranatha Bible and Missionary Conference, and at World Vision. She was a member at Lakeside Baptist Church. She will be remembered by her family as a determined Scandinavian woman whose greatest desire was to raise her family to follow the Lord. She will also be remembered as a mother who served as a full-time care giver to her son, Leon, and her husband, Clifford, after they became physically disabled. SURVIVORS She is survived by her son, Ronald E. (Kay) Morrison of Grand Haven; daughters, Peggy R. (Bill) Smiesko of IL, Linnea S. (Mark) Soderstrom of Fruitport; grandchildren, Jonathon (Sharon) Morrison, Lysa Deany, Lorna Soderstrom, and Ryan Soderstrom. She was preceded in death by her husbands; son, Leon V. Morrison; sisters, Alice Rosegrant & Barbara Ohs; brother, Paul Nordstrom. SERVICE Saturday, March 6, 2010, 12:00 PM at Lakeside Baptist Church with Rev. Jonathan Rohrer officiating. VISITATION Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at the church. MEMORIAL GIFTS: International Aid of Spring Lake.
