Ruth Lutz

Mrs Ruth Emily Lutz, age 82, passed away Saturday, December 22, 2018. She was born in Eastmanville, MI on April 10, 1936 to Gerrit & Anna (Kooiman) Scharphorn and married Harold Lutz on December 14, 1957. Mrs Lutz had worked in the produce department at Shop Rite Grocery Store in Allendale for many years. Ruth was a member of United Lutheran Church where she was on the Praise team. She enjoyed painting, sewing, gardening, stamping cards, reading, and doing puzzles. Her family was very important to her and she will be dearly missed. SURVIVORS Husband of 61 years, Harold, Sr.; 3 Sons, Harold (Diane) Lutz Jr. of Holland, Jerry (Ellen) Lutz of Pelkie, MI, Mike (Janis) Lutz of Allendale; Daughter, Sherri (Andy) Strong of Kent City; 6 Grandchildren, Jacquelyn Strong, Jonathon (Katie) Buczek, Ashley Lutz, Trisha (Hazen) Averill, Aaron Lutz, Cody (Sarah) Buczek; 6 great-grandchildren, MaKenzie, Brienna, Ariana, Bentley, Justin, Parker; 2 brothers, Glenn (Gloria) Scharphorn, Robert (Shirley) Scharphorn; several nieces and nephews. SERVICE Wednesday, December 26, 2018, 11:00 AM at United Lutheran Church with Rev. Dennis Dufon officiating. Internment in Robinson Township Cemetery.
