Mrs. Ruth Lomax, age 66, passed away Tuesday afternoon, March 27, 2007. She was born May 9, 1940 in Lansing, MI to John and Mae (Elden) Farmer and had been a Muskegon area resident for the past 20 years. Ruth was a graduate of Lansing Business College. She had a strong Christian faith and impacted people everywhere she lived. Ruth was an avid gardener, bird watcher, and her grandchildren were her pride and joy. On May 21, 1960 she married Wesley P. Lomax in Lansing and he survives her along with 2 sons, Wesley Neil (Sherri) Lomax of Melbourne, FL, Timothy (Kimberly) Lomax of Dexter, MI; 5 grandchildren, Wesley Carl, William, Jason, Rachel, Sabrina; 2 brothers, James Farmer of Akron, OH, George (Peggy) Farmer of Dayton, OH; brother-in-law, Bruce Harris of Wyandotte, MI; 1 niece and 6 nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Jean Harris. A CELEBRATION OF HER LIFE will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, March 31, 2007 at the Cornerstone Free Methodist Church (8833 Holton Rd.) with Rev. Jerry Selleck officiating. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Cedar Creek Twp. Recreation Fund or the American Cancer Society.
