HOVEY (TOWNER), MRS. RUTH ANN North Muskegon Mrs. Ruth A. (Towner) Hovey, age 91, passed away June 7, 2014. She was born in Muskegon, MI on May 26, 1923 to Dallas & Ruth (Seeley) Towner and married Franklin Hovey on August 14, 1943. She graduated from Muskegon High School, attended Goodman School of Drama and National Park College in Maryland. Mrs. Hovey had been a loving wife, mother and grandmother and active member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Ruth volunteered happily in her community, at the church and for the Red Cross for many years and could be found enjoying herself at her favorite sewing club she had been at for 50 years. She will be greatly missed. SURVIVORS Son, Kenneth (Carol) Hovey of Ann Arbor; daughter, Ann (Norman) Amick of GA; grandchildren, Sarah (Mike) Olson, Megan (Anthony) Bennett; great grandchild, Morgan Olson; sister-in-law, Mary Towner. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Franklin in 2013; brother, Dallas Towner and sister, Nancy Hanson.
