Ruth Hansen

Mrs. Ruth E. Hansen, age 90, passed away Sunday, January 2, 2011. She was born in Grand Haven, MI on February 2, 1920 to William & Edith (Wacker) Kluempel and married Richard H. Hansen, Jr. on January 29, 1938. Mrs. Hansen had been a loving homemaker. Ruth had been the State Level President of the P.T.A. She was a member of Central Lutheran Church, and more recently, First Evangelical Lutheran Church. Mrs. Hansen was a member and past President of the Danish Sisterhood at Thyra Lodge #22 for over 50 years. Ruth enjoyed needlework and cooking. She will be dearly missed. SURVIVORS Sons, Richard H. (Marie) Hansen III of Plainwell, Rev. Robert L. Hansen, D.Min. of Bettendorf, IA; daughter, Susan K. (Rev. Wayne, D.Min.) Vanderwier of Chesterton, IN; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; sister, Shirley (Duff) Lyons of Baldwin; brother-in-law, Don (Carol) Hansen of TX. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard in 2003; grandchild, Jackie Lee; sisters, Claire, Elizabeth, Mildred brother, William. SERVICE Thursday, January 6, 2011, 11:00 AM at First Evangelical Lutheran Church with Rev. Bill Uetricht officiating. Interment at Fruitport Cemetery. VISITATION Wednesday, 6-8 PM at Clock Life Story Funeral Home - Muskegon and Thursday, 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
