Ruth Follrath

Mrs. Ruth E. Follrath, age 102, passed away Saturday, March 24, 2007. She was born in Muskegon on December 28, 1904 to Melville and Josie (Miller) Davis. She married Clifford O. Follrath in Muskegon on December 9, 1926. He preceded her in death in 1954. Mrs. Follrath was a member of Temple United Methodist Church. A member of the Muskegon Womens' Club, Quadrangle Club, Muskegon County Garden Club and the Norton Shores Senior Bridge Club. Ruth played the piano and was an avid bowler and golfer. She was employed at the Lee Funeral Home for 17 years until her retirement in 1972. SURVIVORS: 1 daughter, Bonnie Devowe of Norton Shores; 1 son, Richard (Roberta) Follrath of Houghton Lake, MI; 8 grandchildren, 14 great and 4 great-great-grandchildren. The FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at the Lee Funeral Home, Wednesday, 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Rob Cook officiating. VISITATION will be Wednesday, 1 hour prior to the service. INTERMENT: Norton Cemetery. MEMORIAL: Temple United Methodist Church.
