Mrs. Ruth Cook, passed Friday January 18, 2008 at Mercy Hospital. Funeral Service: Saturday, January 26, 2008 11:00 AM at Phillip Chapel A.M.E., Rev. Manuel Haynes officiating. Visitation: Friday 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. with Family Hour 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. She was an LPN at Mercy Hospital before retiring. She is survived by her husband, Floyd Cook, Sr.; son, Floyd Cook, Jr.; daughter, Dorothy Cook (Lawrence) Mallery; 5 grandchildren, Bridgette, Shelmon, Marnica McMillon of Kansas City, MO, Joy Bass of Grosse Pointe Park, MI, LeSean Tarkington of Atlanta, and Deaundra Cook; a god daughter, Shawndra (King) Sain; 7 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends. Interment: Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
