Ruth M. Arkema

ARKEMA, MRS. RUTH, M. Ruth M. Arkema, 84, of Grand Haven, died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2004 at North Ottawa Care Center. She was born August 6, 1920 to Dewey and Reka Kolenbrander Bomers in Holland. She married Kenneth Arkema in Holland on April 4, 1941. He preceded her in death on Sept. 11, 2003. Mrs. Arkema was a homemaker, a member of Second Christian Reformed Church and their Friendship Guild and also a volunteer for the American Cancer Society. SURVIVORS Son, Kenneth J. Sharon Arkema Jr. of Grand Haven; daughter, Karen Vern Peters of Kendallville, IN; a sister, Hazel Sterenberg of Holland; 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Mrs. Arkema was also preceded in death by 4 brother Robert, Russel, Donald & Gerald Bomers and 1 sister Mae Lemmon. SERVICE Friday, November 5, 2004, 2:00 PM at Clock Funeral Home with Rev. Edward Tamminga officiating. Interment at Lake Forest Cemetery. VISITATION One hour prior to the service at the funeral home. MEMORIAL : Second Christian Reformed Church.
