Russell G. Rutz

Mr. Russell George Rutz, age 92, passed away Thursday, January 10, 2019. He was born in Ferndale, MI on December 21, 1926 to Russell & Margaret (Murphy) Rutz and served his country in the US Navy during World War II. He married the former Shirley Passage on June 27, 1947 and had been employed as a Price Analyst for the US Department of Defense in Grand Rapids until retiring in 1990. He owned horses at one time and enjoyed training them and riding.Russell was a member of VFW Lt. Clement F Derezinski Post #7729 and enjoyed gardening, snowmobiling and traveling in his motor home. SURVIVORS Sons, Gordon Rutz of Muskegon, David Rutz of Muskegon; daughters, Janis (Mike) Walachovic of Muskegon, Sandra (Bruce) Ferguson of Muskegon; 10 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; Fiance, Pat Wright. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley in 1996 & brother, Stanley J. Rutz CELEBRATION OF LIFE Sunday, January 20, 2019, 2:00 - 6:00 PM at The Hideaway Lounge Fricano Place.
