Russell Pearson

Mr. Russell B. Pearson, age 89 passed away early Tuesday morning at his residence in Allendale following a long illness. He was born in Muskegon on January 8, 1918 the youngest of five children to John and Josephine Pearson. On February 21, 1941 he married the former Bonita L. Vezina and made his home in Norton Shores until retiring and moving to Whitehall in 1973. Russell proudly served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army and prior to his retirement was employed as an electrician with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 275. SURVIVORS: Wife, Bonita; Daughter, Glenda M. (Ken Sapkowski) of Allendale; 3 sons, Russell D. (Nancy) Pearson of Grand Haven, David A. Pearson of Muskegon and Dennis B. Pearson of Miami, FL; Sister, Edna Richards of Arizona; 9 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Diana Nelson in 1999. MEMORIAL SERVICE: Will be held at the Lee Funeral Home, 11:00 A.M., Saturday, March 31, 2007, Rev. David Selleck presiding.
