MILES, MR. RUSSELL J. N. Muskegon, MI Mr. Russell J. Miles, age 70, died Saturday, September 28, 2002. He was born in Muskegon, MI on February 29, 1932 to Stewart & Ruth Gorman Miles & married the former Kathleen M. Bole on January 20, 1951 in Muskegon Hts., MI. Mr. Miles had been employed as a Machinist at Teledyne Continental Motors for 40 years, serving as former President of Teledyne Local #113. He also was former Editor of Western Michigan News, was a former member of the Muskegon County Sheriff's Dept., the Muskegon Eagles & was formerly Chairman of the Muskegon County Democratic Party. Most importantly, he was dedicated to his family & was a lover of jazz music, having been a trumpet player all of his life. SURVIVORS Wife, Kathleen; 5 sons, Steven Karen Miles of Chase, MI, Gary Molly Miles of Grand Haven, MI, Wayne Amy Miles of Muskegon, MI, Joel Donna Miles of N. Muskegon, MI & Brad Susan Miles of NY; 2 daughters, Lori Erwin Grasman of Muskegon, MI & Linda Miles of AZ; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; his sister, Jean Lang of FL; brother, Jack Helen Miles of N. Muskegon, MI; many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers & by 2 sisters. SERVICE Wednesday, October 2, 2002, 11:00 AM at the Clock Chapel.
