Roy, Harriette O.

Mrs. Harriette O. Roy died December 10, 2006. She was born on a farm near Scottville, Michigan on June 20, 1917 to Frederick and Leona (Gebot) Sorenson, and married Paul E. Roy, Sr. on February 17, 1941. She graduated from Hackley Hospital School of Nursing in 1940, and until her retirement worked in that profession. Mr. & Mrs. Roy spent the last 25 years of their 63 year marriage living in Merritt Island, Florida until recent illness caused them to move North to be near family. While in Florida, she volunteered her services in nursing and Hospice. SURVIVORS She is survived by three sons, Paul Jr. (Patricia), of Muskegon, Willliam (Peggy) of Peachtree City, GA, and Robert (Nica) of Mill Valley, CA; daughter-in-law, Sandy Spangler and husband Robert of Scottville, MI; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren. A son, James Stephen and her husband preceded her in death. SERVICE A memorial service will be held at a later date. MEMORIAL: Muskegon County Library for the Blind.
