Roxie Kruzona

Roxie L. (Barnhill) Kruzona died March 29, 2007, at the Harbor Hospice Poppen Residence. She was born to William and Mary (Morgan) Barnhill in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas on December 27, 1916. She came to Muskegon as a young girl and has made Muskegon her home since that time. She married Charles R. Allen in 1935 and they had 2 children. He died in 1956. She later joined the Catholic Church and married George P. Davies who passed away in 1969. In 1971, she married Vincent Kruzona and remained with him for 5 years. He is now deceased. She worked at Kaydon Corp. for 28 1/2 years retiring in 1979. She is a member of St. Francis deSales Catholic Church. Roxie is survived by one daughter, Nancy J. Sobish and one son, John R. (Mary) Allen; seven grandchildren, Robert (Jan) Sobish, Charles (Wendy) Sobish, Brenda (Todd) Frees, John "Chris" Allen, Donna Allen, Laura Allen, Theresa (Rob) James; 7 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 2 sisters. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated 10:00 AM Saturday in The Marian Chapel of St. Francis deSales Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Julian Reginato as celebrant. INTERMENT will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. VISITATION with Roxie's family will be 6-8 PM this evening at Lee Funeral Home 2812 Fifth Street Muskegon Heights, MI (231) 733-2152 The Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 PM. IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, memorial contributions may be directed to The Salvation Army, Muskegon Rescue Mission, Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry, or Harbor Hospice.
