Beaune-Achterhoff, Roseanna

(Widow of Edward Achterhoff)

Roseanna (Rosie), 69, went home to be with her Lord on Friday November 3, 2023. She was born in 1954 in Shelby, Michigan to Leroy and Louise (Burmeister) Beaune. She married her late husband, Edward Achterhoff in 1990. She worked at the Muskegon Regional Center for 15 years prior to its closing, then worked at Trinity Health (Formally called Mercy VNS & Hospice Services) for 15 years, until she retired in 2016.

Survivors include her son Allen Lee (Elizabeth) Beaune, 3 stepsons - Brian, Steve, and David (Carrie) Achterhoff. Her brothers, John Beaune, and Tex (Stephanie) Beaune, 8 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and best friend, Edward, her mother, father, stepmother, Rose and brother, Oliver.

Rosie was optimistic, reliable, compassionate, empathetic, strong, and loving among many other characteristic traits. She was strong willed and was always ten steps ahead. Whatever the situation was, she was always organized and knew what to do and what it was that she wanted. She wasn't afraid to stand out and be herself. Traveling was one of her favorite hobbies as she had a passion for seeing and learning new things. You could always catch Rosie with her husband, Ed, in their RV on the move to their next new adventure. She wanted to see the world, learn the history, and gain a meaningful experience. Not only did she love traveling, but she had such a strong kind-heartedness for others. In her professional life, she oversaw her clients and looked after them as if they were her own family. Not only in her professional life, but she brought her desire to care for others home with her - no matter what she was always there for the ones she loved. She acted as a protector and would assist anyone with anything they needed help in. She saw herself as the mother hen. She even had this strong love for others whom she did not know. She spent her life donating to different organizations - St. Jude's, Feeding America, American Lung Association, Toys for Tots, and Habitat for Humanity just to name a few. Rosie strongly cared for others and had a unique compassion to her. No matter the situation, or person, she was always there.
