Rose Ella Dobberstein

Mrs. Rose Ella Dobberstein, age 95, died Saturday morning, August 23, 2008. She was born March 30, 1913 in White Cloud, MI to John & Margaret Hull and had resided in the Muskegon area most of her life. Prior to her retirement, Rose had been a cook and baker for Russ' Restaurant for 15 years. She was a member of Unity United Methodist Church where she had sung in the choir. On June 8, 1935, in Muskegon, she married Walter L. Dobberstein and he preceded her in death in 1984. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon Wilson, in 2002. SURVIVORS include 3 children, Terry (Carol) Dobberstein of North Muskegon, Nancy (Richard) Herryger of Traverse City, MI, and Louis (Pat) Dobberstein of Spokane, WA; 18 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. SERVICES will be 11AM Wednesday at Unity United Methodist Church (1660 N. Getty St.) with the Rev. Nancy Boelens officiating. Burial will be in East Dalton Oakhill Cemetery.
