Rosaleane "Rose" Kathalynas

Rosaleane "Rose" (Jackson) Kathalynas, passed away on Saturday, February 16, 2008, in Sherman Hospital, S. Elgin after a long illness. Rose was born in Muskegon on December 21, 1942, to Walter and Daisy Jackson who preceded her in death. Our dear sister is survived by former husband Edward Kathalynas of S. Elgin, IL; 3 sisters, Mrs. Marvin (Barbara) Kantola of Niles, MI, former longtime residents of Muskegon and Mrs. Thomas (Bonita) McDonald of Muskegon and Mrs. James (Jeanette) Meier of Grand Rapids, MI; 4 brothers, Robert (Carol) Jackson of Muskegon, Walter (Shirley) Jackson of Branch, MI, Steven Jackson of S. Elgin, IL and Leo (Nancy) Singleton, of Phoenix, Arizona and several nieces and nephews; as well as many friends in Muskegon. Besides her parents, she is also preceded in death by late husband, Richard Torrey, 1 brother, Harold Jackson, 1 sister, Mrs. Donald (Donna) Bates of Sparta and a step-mother, Mardell Jackson. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 1 at 2:00 at Northside Bible Church, 1937 Whitehall Rd., N. Muskegon with Rev. Lowell Wood officiating.
